Glenn L. Jones

Funeral services for Glenn Laurin Jones, 83, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 27, at Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw Cemetery.

Mr. Jones died Thursday, September 24. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Sidney Anderson and Callie Horton Jones. He was a member of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities. Mr. Jones was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of Flat Rock Masonic Lodge # 178. He was also the former owner of Kiddie Land Nursery and Jones Rentals.

Surviving are his wife; Bettie Hunter Jones of the home, two daughters; Susan Jones Faile and her husband Mike of Mt. Pleasant, N.C. , Sherry Jones Truesdale and her husband Harry Kay of Kershaw , one son; Laurin Sidney Jones and his wife Diane of Easley, seven grandchildren; Joel Faile, J.P. Truesdale, Daniel Faile, Monica T. Polson, Rebekah T. Branham, Emily Williams and Chris Jones, twelve great grandchildren, one sister; Vivian McCarter of Atlanta, Ga. He was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 26, from 4 to 6 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
