Gladys Oviatt

Funeral services for Gladys Oviatt, 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs. Burial will held at East Branch Cemetery, Spartansburg, PA. Rev. Kelvin Hinson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Flint Ridge Baptist Church, 1850 Flint Ridge Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.

Mrs.Oviatt, widow of Robert L. Oviatt, Sr., died Thursday, December 17, 2009. Born in Wrightsville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Twilla Bailey Jewell. Mrs. Oviatt was a nursing assistant, wife, and loving mother. She was also a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church.

Surviving are children, Ruth Post of Kershaw and Judith Martin (Bob) of Kingsman, Az; , Robert L. Oviatt, Jr. (Karen) of Bristolville, OH, Marilyn Reed (Russell) of Spartansburg, Pa; , Roger Oviatt of Birstolville, OH; Nancy Miller (Rick) of Warren, OH; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters, Marie McKinney of Ashville, NY, Charlotte Black of Corry, Pa, Audrey Sickler (Leon) of Spring Creek, Pa, Shirley Bull of Garland, Pa, brother, Edward Jewell (Bonnie) of Wrightville, Pa. She was predeceased by a brother, David Jewell.
