Gettyes Jack Mosley

Funeral services for Gettyes Jack Mosley, 86, of Bethune, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in Abney Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Larry Plyler will officiate.

Mr. Mosley died Sunday, August 29, at his home. Born in Bethune, he was the son of the late John Lewis and Martha Vincent Mosley. Mr. Mosley was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Abney Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fox hunting. He was married to the late Mamie Euree Taylor Mosley.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Peggy Catoe and her husband Curtis of Lancaster, Joyce Mosley of Pageland, 4 sons; Thomas Wayne Tommy Mosley and his wife Patsy of Fort Lawn, Jack Leon Jackie Mosley and his wife Wanda of Bethune, Bruce Everett Mosley and his wife Susan of Rock Hill, Keith Edward Mosley and his wife Daisy of Bethune, a brother; Carl Edward Mosley and his wife Joan of Bethune, 2 sisters; Lola Joyner of Kershaw, Dorothy M. Outen and her husband J.L. Of Kershaw, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4691 Newman Road, Bethune.
