Gertrude H. 'Trudy' Malone

Gertrude Howard ”Trudy” Malone, 74 of Kershaw died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at her home. Born in Whitmire, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul Sr., and Wilhelmina Howard Malone. She was a healthcare provider serving as a CNA and Med. Tech. Trudy enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She also was a member of First Baptist Church of Kershaw. Surviving are her daughter, Kelly Barton Jans; her son, James E. “Jimbo” Barton, Jr., and his wife Jeanne; three granddaughters, Morgan Malone Jans, Madison Michelle Jans and Anne Marie Barton; two great grandsons, Jaxon Keith and Jasen Lee all of Kershaw; two sisters, Patsy Kimbrell of Fort Mill, Darnell Swanger of Rock Hill and two brothers, Lewis Howard of Fort Mill and Paul Malone, Jr. of Rock Hill. The family will receive friends, Saturday, May 23, 2015, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the home of her son, 182 Whitley Street, Kershaw. A private inurnment service will be held at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill conducted by the Rev. Bryant D. Fersner.
