Gary Lee Bowers

The family will hold a memorial service for Gary Lee Bowers, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of Sand Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Revs. Michael Owens, Mike Hammond and Brandon Hammond will officiate.

Mr. Bowers, widower of Ella Ann Bowers passed away, Friday, July 12, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Luther Bowers and Nettie Bowers. He retired from Evans Oil Company. He enjoyed working on clocks and lawn mowers. Mr. Bowers also loved traveling to the mountains.

Surviving are 6 children, Roger (Pam) Bowers, Peggy (Stevie) Hammond, Kenny (Vicki) Bowers Sandra Bowers, Nicky (Kim) Bowers and Danny (Janet) Bowers; 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Bowers may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church-Missions Fund, 698 Highway 341, Kershaw, South Carolina 29067.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
