Gary Cleveland Holden

Graveside services for Gary Cleveland Holden, 62, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, at Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Chadwick Ivester will officiate.

Born in Lancaster, Co., he was the son of the late Malcolm and Alma Coates Holden. He was a mechanic with Daniels Construction where he served as shop foreman. Mr. Holden was a loving husband and a beloved father and grandfather. He also enjoyed dirt track racing. He participated in racing at Lancaster Motor Speedway in the 1970's and 1980's.

Surviving are his wife; Bonnie Sowell Holden of the home, a grandson; Carter Lake Holden and a granddaughter; Alyssa Couch both of Lancaster, a brother; M.J.(Barbara) Holden , of Heath Springs, his aunt; Ruby Gardner of Kershaw, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his only son; Michael Gary Holden, a brother; Jerry Holden and three sisters; Bernice Smith, Sandra Robinson and Clara Phillips.

The family will receive friends any time at the home, 6365 N. Matson Street, Kershaw.

Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, for viewing.
