Freddie E. Whitaker

Funeral services for Freddie E. Whitaker, 56, of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Don Knight and Hugh McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Whitaker, husband of Jessie Bradshaw Whitaker died Saturday, July 14, 2012, in KershawHealth-Camden. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Hubert Clyburn and Alice Grace Faulkenberry Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and loved racing and football. He was a retired entrepreneur. Surviving in addition to his wife of Kershaw are 2 sons, Jason Whitaker and his wife Beth of Conway, Jonathan Whitaker and his wife Lauren of Kershaw; 3 grandchildren, Maddie, Jace and Blakely Whitaker; a number of nieces and nephews and his aunt, Geraldine Moran. The family will receive friends, Monday, July 16, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4019 Old Georgetown Road, Kershaw.
