Fred Albert Deese

Fred Albert Deese, 89 of Kershaw died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Midway Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Mr. Deese , loving husband of the late Genolia Shaw “Jean” Deese was born in Lancaster on January 15, 1925. He was a former security guard with the following companies, Clark Control, A.O. Smith and Duracell. Mr. Deese was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Surviving are his sister, Gladys Catoe of Kershaw and a number of nieces and nephews including his niece, Susan Byrd and her husband Danny who were his caretakers. He was preceded in death by his wife, his infant son and a number of brothers and sisters. The family is at the home of Danny and Susan Byrd, 6069 Mt. Pisgah Road, Jefferson, S.C. 29718.
