Frank Phillips

Funeral service for Benjamin Franklin Frank Phillips, Jr., 77, will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 2, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery with military honors. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Don Knight will officiate.

Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin, Sr. and Cora Love Phillips. He retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service and Lancaster Co. Sheriffs Department after 12 years of service. He was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; Joann Roberts Phillips of the home, two brothers; Everette Phillips of Westminster, MD, Jimmy Phillips of Kershaw, two step-sisters; Vera Catoe of Heath Springs, Florence Whitaker of Kershaw . He was preceded in death by two sisters; Sadie Knight, Esther DiBiasi, three brothers; Paul Phillips, Arthur Phillips , Bob Phillips and a step brother; Robert Payne.

The family will receive friends, Monday, June 1, from 7 to 9 PM at Baker Funeral Home.
