Frank Arant

Funeral services for Frank Edward Arant, 60, of Kershaw will be held Monday, February 4, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Charlesboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Jackie Bailey, Jerry Potoka and Steve Neal will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home, 2255 Gold Mine Highway, Kershaw. Mr. Arant died Friday, February 1, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill. Born in Monroe, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Woodrow and Gladys Greene Arant. He was currently employed with Buckhorn Materials. Mr. Arant enjoyed metal fabribicating and was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; Jo Bowers Arant of the home, a daughter; Becky Arant of Washington DC, a son; Jammy Roberts and his wife Amy of Winston-Salem, NC, a daughter-in-law; Kimberly S. “Kim” Arant of Kershaw, 3 grandsons; Dalston Keith Snipes, Chase Wyatt Roberts and Eric James Roberts and a granddaughter; Alayna Grace Arant, special son; Gil Sims of Kershaw, 2 brothers; Charles Arant (Irene) of Heath Springs, SC, Johnny Arant (Linda) of Lancaster, a sister; Patty Arant of Kershaw and a sister-in-law; Glenda Arant. He was preceded in death by his son; James Edward “Jamie” Arant, a sister and brother-in-law; Margie A. Rollins and her husband Lawrence and a brother; Jerry Arant.
