Francine Hinson Witham

A graveside service to honor and remember the life of Francine Hinson Witham, age 88, of Bethune, S.C. will be conducted at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Bethune Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethune, S.C. Rev. Scott Bernshausen will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.

Mrs. Witham was born in Bethune, S.C. on November 25, 1935, to late parents Charlie Hinson and Mazalee Horton Hinson. She was a graduate of Bethune High School. She served as a media specialist at Bethune High School and was a dedicated homemaker. Her world was her grandchildren, whom she loved beyond measure. She also enjoyed baking, antique shopping, gardening, spending time at the beach, and a good laugh. 

She was a member of Bethune Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her ladies Sunday School Class and volunteered each week to pack “Sacks of Love”.

Mrs. Witham is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald L. Witham; 2 daughters, Terri Lynn Regier and Tanya Eubanks (Troy) ; 5 adored grandchildren, Margaret “Maggie” Regier, Davis Regier, Emma Eubanks, Carrie Eubanks and Evan Eubanks; and 2 sisters, Lydia Jones and Mitchalene Rowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Hinson. 

Memorial remembrances may be sent to Sacks of Love (Kershaw Baptist Association), 14 East DeKalb St., Camden, S.C. 29020.

The family would like to express their love and gratitude to all the caregivers who helped Francine over the years, especially OraLee Blair, Deedee Bennett, and Nadine Drakeford.
