Mary Frances Sullivan Reeves, 92, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away on April 28, 2023, at Life Care Center in Columbia, SC. She was born in Chesterfield County on May 9, 1930, the middle of five children born to the late David Levi Sullivan and Susie Demby Sullivan.


Frances worked for Springs Industries for 44 years. She was a long-time member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church where she was a member of Mitch Lucas’ Sunday School class and the Joy Group. She also served for 12 years with the Meals on Wheels program.


Frances is survived by her son, Stephen (Susan) Reeves of Columbia, S.C.; grandson, Daniel Reeves of Charlotte, N.C.; granddaughter, Stephanie (Justin) Freeman of Mint Hill, N.C.; and two great grandsons Oliver and Trevor Freeman. She is also survived by four nephews, two nieces, and a host of great nephews and nieces.


She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Gary Sullivan and Charles “Buck” Sullivan and two sisters, Gladys Mangum, and Barbara Sullivan.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Baker Conference Center, 105 North Minor Street, Kershaw S.C. Rev. Dr. Jason T. Moss, and Rev. Ronnie Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Town Cemetery following the services. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the services, beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Conference Center.


Memorials may be made to Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Building Fund, 7737 Kershaw Camden Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067, or Lancaster County Council on Aging -Meals on Wheels, 309 S. Plantation Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
