Frances Marie Cornell

Funeral services for Frances Marie Cornell, 84, will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Prodigal Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in Taxahaw Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. Tony Hargett and Ken Lakes will officiate. Memorials may be made to Prodigal Free Will Baptist Church, 907 Buffalo Creek Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Mrs. Cornell died Sunday, October 7 at her home. Born in Troy, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Adell Hall Temples. Mrs. Cornell attended Prodigal Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Clyde Cornell; children, Doris Marie Heath, Linda Sharon Throp, and Douglas Kenneth Welch all of Augusta, Ga.,, Darlene Frances Thompson of Kershaw, and Pamela Denise Sikes of Thompson, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; 3 sisters. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
