Frances Inez Mangum Catoe

Funeral service for Frances Inez Mangum Catoe, 91, will be held at 2:00 P.M.TUESDAY, August 12, 2008, in Timrod Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Catoe, widow of William Clyde Catoe died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her home. Born in the Timrod Community of Bethune, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Bleeka Mae Joyner Mangum. She was an active lifetime member of Timrod Baptist Church and retired from the Kendall Company, after twenty-two years of service. Mrs. Catoe was also a member of the Woodmen of The World, Lodge No. 0737.
Surviving are four sons; Harold T. Catoe (Diane), of Kershaw, Glenn E. Catoe and his special friend, Carlee of Camden, Donnie C. Catoe (Diane) and B. Wayne Catoe both of Bethune, two daughters; Frances V. Boone of Greenwood, Loretta C. Rodgers of Bethune, three brothers; Dexter L. Mangum (Eula) of Lancaster, Melvin E. Mangum (Eunice) of Bethune, Gary L. Mangum (Marilyn) of Hamel, Ill., one sister; Mamie Blackwell (E. F. Blackie) of Kershaw, 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, William R. Catoe of Kershaw, Henry K. Catoe of Bethune, three sisters; Beulah M. Davis of Bethune, Hattie M. Payne of Kershaw, Irene M. Ray of Lancaster, two brothers; Barnwell Mangum of Columbus, Ga. and Frank Mangum of Lancaster.
The family will receive friends MONDAY, August 11, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.M.at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw and other times at the home of her son, 3716 Jones Cemetery Road, Bethune.
