Faye Lucas

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Faye Catoe Lucas, 98, of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Lancaster Memorial Park. Rev. Bill Sumner will officiate. Mrs. Lucas, widow of Leonard W. Lucas died Monday, January 14, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George and Sara Harie Catoe. She was the former owner/operator of her own beauty salon. Mrs. Lucas had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1949. Surviving are her special caregivers; Vernie and Pete Plyler of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at the Plyler home, 2236 Pageland Highway, Lancaster. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
