Funeral services for Etta Mae Taylor Hunter, 87 of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Sand Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Chadwick Ivester and Mr.Greg Gibbons will officiate. Mrs. Hunter died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in the Buford community of Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Leslie, Sr. and Eula Usher Taylor. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Rev. Koger Hunter of the home; her daughter, Kaye Hiott and her husband David of Lake Murray (Chapin); her son, Bryan Hunter and his wife Kathy of Mauldin; 2 granddaughters, Lindsey Hunter of Lexington, Sandi Bright and her husband Trammell Haney of Leesville; 1 grandson, Kevin Hunter of Mauldin; 3 great grandsons, Cole, Marshall and Nathan Haney of Leesville; a sister, Clara Turner of Lancaster; 2 sisters-in-law, Jo Taylor of Lancaster and Shirley Taylor of Lexington. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Hinson and 3 brothers, Bruce, H. L. , Jr. and Thomas Taylor. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside committal service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home, 7056 Highway 341, Kershaw. In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to KershawHealth Foundation, 124 Battleship Road, Attention: Mary Hill, Camden, S.C. 29020. The family would like to thank the many wonderful doctors and nurses who provided care for Mrs. Hunter including, Dr. Alderson, Dr. Zimmermann and Vicki Robinson of The South Carolina Heart Center, Dr. Wilberding and staff of Sentinel, Kershaw Office and Dr. Williamson and staff. They also would like to thank the nurses and staff of White Oak Manor, Lancaster and Lancaster Convalescent Center.
