Ernestine Faulkenberry Reeves

A service to celebrate the life of Ernestine Faulkenberry Reeves, 75, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Don Knight will officiate.

Mrs. Reeves died Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Ferris and Minnie Lee Ogburn Faulkenberry. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and most of all her grandchildren. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband; Paul Reeves of the home, a son; Paul L. Reeves and his wife Darby of Lexington, a daughter; Joni Reeves Glasscock and her husband Larry of Camden, five grandchildren; Morgan Shinn, Luke Reeves, Lee Reeves, Merritt Reeves and Bryant Young, a brother; Charles Faulkenberry and his wife Lummie of New Bern, N.C., two sisters; Betty Nick and her husband John of Columbia and Frances Rowell of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by four brothers; Ferris Faulkenberry, Jr., Leonard Ed Faulkenberry, Vernon Faulkenberry and Howard Lee Faulkenberry.

The family will receive friends, Monday, May 11, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
