Erline Jewett Boltz

Funeral services for Erline Jewett Boltz, 82, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2008, in Midway Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate.

Mrs. Boltz died Thursday, November 20, 2008, in Lancaster Convalescent Center. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Luther Benson and Maybell Montgomery Jewett. She was a retired educator having taught English in Ewing and Palmyra, Missouri and taught at McBee High School, McBee, South Carolina. She was a member of the VFW, and the American Legion in Knox City, Missouri and Lancaster. Mrs. Boltz graduated from Northeast Missouri State University receiving her BS degree in Education. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Boltz was married to the late Harley Thomas Boltz.

Surviving are her son; Larry Boltz and his wife Janice of Lancaster, five brothers; Randolph (Hazel) Jewett of Kershaw, Robert (Emanuela) Jewett of Trieste, Italy, Mike (Jennifer) Jewett of Lancaster, Gerald (Janice) Jewett of Kershaw, Carrol (Shelia) Jewett of Kershaw, three sisters; Theo (Bobby) Stroud of Kershaw, Linda (Kenneth) Bradley of Charlotte, NC, Judy (Frank) Cottone of Lancaster and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Lizabeth Kay Boltz and a brother; Albert Jewett.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside committal service in the church fellowship hall.
