Emma Lee Gainey

Emma Lee Knight Gainey, 72, of Kershaw, died Saturday, October 26, 2019. Born in Lancaster County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Talma Lewis Knight and Bertha Lucille Sims Knight. Mrs. Gainey was of the Baptist faith and retired from Frito-Lay of Charlotte. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Michael W. Gainey and WIlliam "Billy" L. Gainey, Jr.;grandchildren, Jeremy Gainey, ALicia Gainey Parker (Bobby), Stephanie Smith (Alex Cruz), Brittany Gainey (Jose Riva), and Christa Gainey (Matt Nelson). She is also survived by her sisters, Sharlene Knight, Mary Lou Knight (Jimmy), and Missy Moree (Donovan). In addition to her parents and husband, William L. Gainey, Sr., she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Michelle Gainey; sister, Marlene Adams and a brother, Jerry Knight.

The service for Mrs. Gainey will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5 p.m.
