Elviree Catoe Rice

Graveside services for Elviree Catoe Rice, 86, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2010, in Center Grove Cemetery. Rev. Gary Harris will officiate.

Mrs. Rice, widow of William Curtis Rice died Thursday, September 23, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Nezzie and Tressie Garris Catoe. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Surviving are 2 sisters; Edith C. Burton of West Cola., Patricia Huffstetler of Lexington, 3 brothers; Kever Catoe, of Kershaw, David Catoe of Fort Lawn, Will Catoe of Heath Springs and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; A.C. Catoe, Arthur M. Catoe, Robert Bob Catoe and Alvin R. Catoe.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
