Elsie Whitley Roberts

A funeral service for Elsie Whitley Roberts, 86 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts, widow of O’Neil Henry Roberts died Sunday, August 23, at Agape Hospice House, Columbia. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Eva Wright Whitley. She retired from Springs Industries after 47 years of service. She also was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are her daughter, Myra R. Catoe and her husband Dan of Columbia; her son, Tim Roberts and his wife Pam of Kershaw; four grandchildren, Grant Catoe and his wife Jennifer of Columbia, Luke Catoe and his wife Stacey of Barnwell, Dr. Heath Catoe and his wife Dee of Miami, FL and Sara Roberts Ruzensky and her husband Jacob of Columbia; five great grandchildren, Macy, Taylor, Gray, Nathan, and Maxwell and a sister, Lula W. Steele of Snellville, GA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 25, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 o’clock a.m. in the church Family Life Center.
