Funeral services for Ella Ann Bowers, 80, of Kershaw, will be held at 4:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, July 23, in the sanctuary of Sand Hill Baptist Church. The Revs. Michael Owens and Brandon Hammond will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with committal rites conducted by the Rev. Mike Hammond.

Mrs. Bowers, loving wife of Gary Lee Bowers died Saturday, July 21, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Jeffcoat Bowers and Marie Hinson Bowers. She was a homemaker and was a former employee of Skyline Ltd. and Duracell. Mrs. Bowers was a faithful member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Bowers enjoyed volunteering at the Kershaw Area Resource Exchange. She loved going to yard sales, working in her yard and being a “Nanny “ to everyone.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 63 years are her children, Roger Bowers and his wife, Pam, Peggy Hammond and her husband, Stevie, Kenny Bowers and his wife, Vicki, Sandra Bowers, Nicky Bowers and his wife, Kim and Danny Bowers and his wife, Janet; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 4 brothers, William Bowers and his wife, Peggy, David Bowers and his wife, Peggy, Woodrow Bowers and Randolph and his wife, Peggy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Raymond Bowers, Leroy Bowers, Ferris Bowers, Edward Bowers, Jean Ray and a granddaughter, Brandy Bowers.

The family will receive friends following the committal service at the church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
