Funeral services for Esther Elizabeth Love Phillips, 97, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. Rev. Thurmond Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips, widow of Dee Phillips died Sunday, May 29, in White Oak Manor, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Willie Addison and Maggie Bell Neal Love. She was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Carolyn Faile (Alton) of Heath Springs and Virginia Wallace (Bruce) of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren; Stephen Faile (Melinda), Dean Wallace (Sherryn), Tania Price, Nicholas Phillips, 7 great grandchildren; Justin Stegall, Daniel Stegall, Kristany Wallace, Kaila Demby, D.J. Demby, Justin Phillips and J. R. Faile, 2 sisters; Melva Johnson (Hubert) and Sara Ellis (Robert Shorty ) both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son; Billy Phillips, a granddaughter; Carol Ann Faile, 3 sisters; Martha Payne, Mary Sullivan, Gladys Love, and 5 brothers; Jim Love, Richard Love, Heyward Love, David Love and Robert Love.

The family will receive friends following the committal service in the church social hall and other times at the home of her daughter; 4823 Payne Road, Kershaw.
