Elizabeth B."Lib" Truesdale

Funeral services for Elizabeth Bradley “Lib” Truesdale, 86, of Westville, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, November 16, in the sanctuary Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Craigan Blankenship will officiate.

Mrs. Truesdale passed away peacefully, Monday, November 14, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel L. and Lillie Catoe Bradley. Mrs. Truesdale was a longtime employee of Springs Industries with more than 40 years of service. She cherished keeping her grandchildren and loved all children. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved her family. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a Christian woman. Mrs. Truesdale was also a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church. She had a passion for cooking and baking the most delicious food. Her home was always open on Sundays serving a home cooked meal to her family and anyone else who stopped by. She took joy in sharing her love, Christian faith, baking cakes for birthdays, keeping a clean house and neat yard. Although she was petite, she was a strong, courageous defender of her Christian beliefs, her family and her friends: her faithful loving kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Most of all, she exemplified God’s love in her daily walk through serving others with a cheerful heart. Her heart smiled when so many others called her Granny.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Bobby S. Truesdale; 2 sons, Laney (Pamela) Truesdale , Ronnie (Susan) Truesdale, all of Westville; a daughter, Lori T. (Dale) Hinson of Kershaw; 6 grandchildren; Becky Bowers, Justin (Heather) Truesdale, Brandon Truesdale, Amy H. (Daniel) Wright, Shelley and Kyle Hinson; 6 great grandchildren; Ryan, Reagan, Reid, Blake, Bella and Magnolia; a brother, Marvin (Clarine) Bradley of Heath Springs; a sister, Laura B.(Crawford) Faile of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale S. Truesdale; 2 brothers, James E. Bradley and Charles B. Bradley and 3 sisters, Hattie B. Baker, Geneva B. Knight and Ruby B. Hinson.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, November 15, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, Family Life Center, P.O. Box 488, Westville, S.C. 29175.
