Elizabeth Ann Deaton

A graveside service for Elizabeth Ann Deaton, 76 of Lancaster, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 12, in the Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw. The Rev. Donald W. Tillman will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Baker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deaton, widow of the late L.J. Deaton died Thursday morning, June 9, at Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, she was a daughter of Eliza Lathan Jones Johnson. She retired from the textile industry and was of Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her mother are 3 sons; James Dean Allen of Charlotte, NC, Michael Wayne Allen and Marty Lloyd Allen both of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Maranda Beth Allen of Inman; a grandson, Joshua Kenneth Allen of Matthews, NC; a brother, Lawrence “Robert” Jones of Lancaster; 2 sisters, Mary Eaton of Boiling Springs and Carolyn Houser of Cowpens. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Pardue and 2 brothers, Charles Jones and Wayne Jones.
