A funeral service for Edward Perry Baker, 90 of Kershaw will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Revs. Odell Sullivan and April Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Baker died Sunday, July 3, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in the Buffalo community of Kershaw, he was a son of the late George Walter and Dessie Roberts Baker. He was the former owner of Baker’s Exxon and a painter. Mr. Baker was a faithful member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Hunter Farmer Baker of the home; 2 sons, Roger G. Farmer and his wife Diana of Lancaster, Jonathan M. Farmer of Kershaw; 3 grandchildren, Brent Grayson Farmer, Kristen Leigh Farmer, Tyler Pressley Farmer; 2 great grandchildren, Emma Farmer, Anna Farmer and a brother, Walter Baker and his wife Maxine of Kershaw.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, at the funeral home.
