Edith Threatt Vincent

Edith Threatt Vincent, age 87, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Tuesday evening, December 5, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, S.C. after a brief illness. Born in Kershaw, S.C., on March 29, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Threatt and Eva Gardner Threatt. Mrs. Vincent was a homemaker and a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

She is survived by her grandson, Jonathan Cody Vincent of Kershaw, S.C. and four sisters, Clara T. Vincent of Camden, S.C., Reba T. Edwards of Heath Springs, S.C., Judy T. Coates and her husband, Graham of Kershaw, S.C. and Pat T. Stephens and her husband, Charlie of Bethune, S.C. and her son-in-law, Pete Kinard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wade “Shorty” Vincent; her son, Johnny Leon Vincent and her daughter, Janet Marie Kinard.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, in Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Paul Stephens and Mr. Pete Kinard will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service in the cemetery.
