A funeral service for Edith Phillips “Edie” Joyner, 63, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017, in Buffalo Baptist Church. The Revs. Donald Coppedge , Rev. Ray Lowe and Mr. Barry Estridge will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Joyner, loving wife of 46 years to Wayne Joyner died Friday, August 11, 2017, at MUSC, Charleston. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Wilford Edward and Louise Faulkenberry Phillips. Mrs. Joyner was a graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School and an accounts manager for Williams Financial Services for 35 years. Mrs. Joyner was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, where she was involved with GA’s for 30 years and Bible Blitz for 9 years. She also loved spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her daughter, Emily J. Bass of Kershaw, her son, Phillip Joyner and his wife Marissa of Cedar Park, TX; 4 grandchildren, Jordan Anderson, Kaylee Bass, Eli Joyner and Vivie Joyner and 2 brothers, William Thomas “W.T” Phillips and his wife Mildred and Bruce Phillips and his wife Margie all of Kershaw.
The family will receive friends immediately following the committal service in the Buffalo Baptist Church Ministry Center and other times at the home.
