Edith R. Hinson

Edith Robinson Hinson, age 87 of Kershaw, S.C., passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation, Lancaster, S.C. She was born May 9, 1937, in Kershaw, S.C. to the late Andrew J. Robinson and Ada Estridge Robinson. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and retired from the Lancaster County School District where she had served as a lunchroom supervisor.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Valerie Brown and Vanessa Hinson both of Kershaw, S.C.: her grandchildren, Scott (Karen) Edwards, Toni Sims and Justin Snider and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, J.B. Robinson and his wife, Freida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hazel Hinson, Jr. and 2 sisters, Peggy Plyler and Mary Sue Hunter.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the sanctuary of Midway Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Larry Plyler will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.
