Edgar Jack Neal

Edgar Jack Neal, 94, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Sunday morning, November 7, 2021, at his home. Born in Heath Springs, S.C., he was a son of the late Coniver Oscar Neal, Sr. and Cora Lee Bowers Neal. He retired from Grace Bleachery with 38 years of years. Mr. Neal was a supervisor when he retired. He was the oldest member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. Mr. Neal was a founding member of Beaver Creek Hunt Club. He spent many hours hunting and fishing. He served his county in the Merchant Marines and enjoyed spending time with his family. Most recently, he and his wife could be found daily selling home gown tomatoes downtown Kershaw.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Peggy Sweatt Neal; his daughter, Celeste N. Revels and her husband, Robert E. Revels of Heath Springs, S.C.; his grandson, Robbie Revels of Heath Springs, S.C.; his great granddaughter, Michelle Manning-Osborn and her husband, Drew of Rock Hill, S.C. and 2 great-great grandchildren, Griffin Manning-Osborn and Noah Manning Osborn both of Rock Hill, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

Funeral services for Mr. Neal will be conducted, Wednesday afternoon, November 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of Oakhurst Baptist Church, Heath Springs, S.C. Rev. Sean Stroud will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends, one hour prior to the service, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall and other times at his home.
