Earl Hunter

Funeral services for Earl Hunter, 83, will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 6, at Sand Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hunter died Friday, September 4, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Francis B. and Daisy O. Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor of the spinning and preparation departments. He was a World War II Marine Veteran. Mr. Hunter was a faithful member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years; Mary Catoe Hunter of the home, two daughters; Linda Diane Penny Hunter of Camden, Susan McNaughton and her husband Chad of Kershaw, two sons; Earl Jackson Hunter,Jr. and his wife Christine of Lancaster and Thomas C. Hunter and his wife Mary of Kershaw, seven grandchildren; Lori H. Wolfe of Kershaw, Matthew Hunter of Lexington, Brandon Hunter of Lancaster, Stacey Herlong of Mauldin, Jodi Plyler of Charleston and Dylan and Daniel McNaughton of Kershaw. He was predeceased by his brother; Everette A. Hunter.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 5, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 411 Discovery Road, Kershaw.
