A graveside service with Military Honors for Earl Franklin Pardue, Jr., 87 of Heath Springs, SC, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Friday July 17, 2015, in Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw. Rev. Steve Brooks will officiate.
The family will receive friends and visitors, anytime Thursday, July 16, at the home of his son, 240 Devon Drive, Heath Springs.
Mr. Pardue died Tuesday, July 14, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Earl Franklin, Sr., and Juanita Catoe Pardue. He retired from Dupont Co. and served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Kershaw High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. Mr. Pardue loved playing golf and spending time at the Kershaw Country Club. He also played fast pitch softball and volleyball on a team at Dupont Co. He was married to the late Bobbie Jean Catoe Pardue, who predeceased him on November 1, 2013.
Surviving are his four sons; Jerry (Ann) Pardue, Tommy (Cathie) Pardue, Earl, III (Teresa) Pardue all of Heath Springs, Gene (Linda) Pardue of Union, SC; six grandchildren, Jay Pardue, Andrew Pardue, Chase (Cary) Pardue, Jennifer (Jeff) Cauthen, Courtney (Shawn) Mills and Daniel (Amber) Pardue; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest (Joan) Pardue, Ralph (Toni) Pardue, all of Heath Springs, Davis (Carolyn) Pardue of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Jean Pardue and a brother-in-law, Blake Floyd both of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Pardue and a sister, Mamie Floyd.
