Funeral services for Dorothy Self “Dot” Bradley, 76 of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2014, in the sanctuary of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. Rev. James Atkinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bradley, widow of Buddie Benjamin Bradley died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Perry Thomas and Ola Johnson Self. Mrs. Bradley retired from Caro-Knit after 28 years of service and was a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda B. Payne; a son, Chester L. Bradley and his wife Cheryl all of Kershaw; 6 grandchildren, Angie W. Morgan, Laura Beth H. Gibson, Kayla Michelle Hunter, Chadwick Lee Bradley, Christopher Lucas Bradley and Carrie Lynn Bradley; 6 great grandchildren, Kalle Brooke Morgan, Amy Elizabeth Morgan, Chole Lynn Kearns, Camden Lucas Bradley, Hunter Matthew Gibson and Dallas C. Gibson; a sister, Zeata McGraw of Kershaw and 2 brothers, Winston Self of Vanceboro, N.C. and Thomas Self of Pageland. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vida B. Hunter and 2 sons-in-law, Howell D. Payne and Dean Hunter The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the church Family Life Center and other times at the home of her son, 404 S. Minor Street, Kershaw. Memorials contributions in Mrs. Bradley’s memory may be made to Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church, 7980 Haile Gold Mine Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
