Dorothy Hegler Copeland

Dorothy Hegler Copeland, 92 of Bethune died Friday, March 7, 2014 in Westminster Health and Rehab, Rock Hill. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late William and Belvia Gardner Hegler. She was a member of Bethune Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star –Bethune Chapter and a homemaker. Mrs. Copeland was married to the late Wayne Harold Copeland, Sr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, in the sanctuary of Bethune Baptist church. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethune. Surviving are 2 sons, Wayne Harold Copeland, Jr. and his wife Annette of Columbia, Bennie Thomas Copeland and his wife Debbie of Rock Hill; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn (Rob) Richards of Clover, Kerrie Paige Copeland of Columbia, Christopher T. (Vicki) Copeland of Port Royal, Gregory D. (Debbie) Copeland of Rock Hill, Margaret –Ann Noletti of Ridge Spring and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Roy H. Copeland and a great granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Copeland. The family will receive friends immediately following the committal service in the fellowship hall of Bethune Baptist Church.
