Donald Estridge

Funeral service for Donald Estridge, 70, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Burial will be private.

Mr. Estridge died Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Kershaw Co. Medical Center, Camden. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Joseph William Estridge, Sr. and Alice Neal Estridge. He worked in construction and was a truck driver. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Kershaw. Mr. Estridge enjoyed golfing and spending time at flea markets.

Surviving are his wife Geneva W. Paul of the home, a son; Ryan Neal Estridge of Kershaw, three step-sons; Todd Smith of Kershaw, Ted Smith of Cassatt, Tim Smith of Bethune, two step-daughters; Sharon Connell and Lorie Hall both of Kershaw, two grandchildren; Alyssa Marie Estridge and Joseph Neal Ryan Estridge both of Mt. Croghan, three step grandchildren; Jessica Sowell, Kristina Sowell and Staci Mangum all of Kershaw, a sister; Jo R. Ogburn of Kershaw, two brothers; John Estridge and his friend Joyce of Florence, Ferris Estridge and his wife Coleen of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a brother; Jospeh William Joe Estridge, Jr. and a niece; Emily Rose Robertson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 1 - 2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister; 7605 Old Jefferson Highway.
