Donald Denton

A service to celebrate the life of Donald E. Denton, 56, of Lancaster, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Catawba Baptist Church, 1144 Riverside Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720. Rev. Bill Parker will officiate. Mr. Denton died Monday, June 25, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late David Finley and Ruby Knight Denton. Mr. Denton was a welding specialist with Seimens-Westinghouse, Charlotte, N.C. and a member of Catawba Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Lynn Lane Denton of the home, 2 daughters, Katrina D. Sims and her husband Claude of Belmont, N.C., Angel Moody-Miller and her husband Eric of Lancaster; a son, Donavan Scott Pettit of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren, Trent Sims, Luke Moody, Asher Gurganious and Tyler Sims. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dillon, Glen and Dale Denton. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
