A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dennis Lee Wilson, 67 of Irmo, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday morning in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton St., Kershaw, SC. The Revs. Tim Bupp, Rev. Todd Montgomery and Mr. Ronald Wilson will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister, 6013 Flat Creek Rd., Kershaw, SC.
A private family committal service will be held in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw.
Mr. Wilson passed away, Wednesday evening, September 28, in Providence Hospital, Columbia, with his family by his side. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Curtis Lee and Margie Faulkenberry Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from the State of South Carolina working most of his life in social work. He was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, Kershaw and was very active in the fellowship ministries of Reformation Lutheran Church, where he attended. He was also a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Surviving are his brother, Ronald B. Wilson and his wife Janice of Lancaster; his sister, Cindi W. Blackmon and her husband Ronnie of Kershaw. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
