Dennis C. Bowers

Dennis Carroll Bowers, age 63, of Westville, S.C., passed away, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., he was a son of the late Grover Coleman Bowers, Sr., and Blanche Louise Baker Bowers. He was an electrician. Mr. Bowers served his country in the United State Marine Corps. He was a proud Marine.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Staci Watts “Bit” Bowers of the home; 2 daughters, Elisa “Tater” Fair and her husband, Quincy and Heather Denise Olds; 11 grandchildren, Madison Spear, Channon Kelly, Chance Kelly, Ariyana Fair, Tatum Fair, Elias Fair, Quinlyn Fair, Kelsey Arant, Alexis Anderson, Sara Arant and Joseph Arant; 2 great grandchildren; his siblings, Travis Bowers and his wife, Linda, Diane Roberts, Voncille Sims, Edward Bowers and Vivian Huggins and her husband, Fred and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Michael Arant; brothers, Grady Bowers, Roddy Lee Bowers, G.C. Bowers, Jr., Wayne Bowers and his sister, Debra Bowers.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Refuge Baptist Church Family Life Center, Kershaw, S.C. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Rev. Tommy Bowers will officiate.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery with military honors.
