Dean Kirby Williams

Funeral services for Dean Kirby Williams, 74 of 4377 Fish Hatchery Road, Gaston and formerly of Kershaw will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
 
Mr.Williams died Friday, August 15, 2008, in Lexington Medical Center. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Joseph Franklin and Nellie Horton Williams. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps and from Blue Cross Blue Shield South Carolina. He was also a member of Pineview Baptist Church, Kershaw. Mr. Williams served in Vietnam receiving two purple hearts.
 
Surviving are a son; Stan Horton and his wife Trish of Howe, Oklahoma, 4 siblings; Jo Lynn Eller Kniphfer of Camden, Judson L. Williams and his wife Ethel of Heath Springs, Mozelle Mo W. Sellers and her husband Jim of Heath Springs and Jerry M. Williams and his wife Rebecca of Richburg, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
 
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.
