David Robert West

Funeral services for David Robert West, 61 of Pageland, SC will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2014 from the sanctuary of First Freewill Baptist Church, 209 S. Pine Street, Pageland. Rev. Melvin Keziah will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Pageland. Mr. West died Friday evening, June 6, 2014 at his home. Born in Pageland, SC , he was the son of the late R.W. and Leola McManus West. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Vicky Poston West of the home; 2 daughters, Teresa Allen and her husband Anthony of Kershaw, Stephanie Thomas and her husband Mark of Marion, NC; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lola Catoe of Fort Lawn and Faye Langley of Mt. Croghan and a brother, Jerry West of Mt. Croghan. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Rev. Junior West, Billy West, Perry West and Danny West. The family will receive friends, Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw and other times at the home, 635 Watt Jenkins Rd., Pageland.
