Graveside services for David Michael “Mike” Watson, 59, of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Keith Coates will officiate. Mr. Watson died Friday, November 16, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Camden, SC, he was the son of Iva Lee Vincent Watson and the late John Edward “J.E.” Watson. He was a former machine operator for Dupont Co. and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Mr. Watson enjoyed fishing was a avid Clemson fan. Surviving in addition to his mother of Morningside Assisted Living of Orangeburg are 2 daughters; Tammy Bowers and her husband Josh of Kershaw and Amy Lynn Novak and her husband Michael of Fort Mill, 2 grandchildren; Hayden Bowers and Michelle Revels, his sister; Diane Sowell and her husband Jerry of Columbia and his brother; Edward Watson and his wife Resa of LaGrange, GA. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Dixie. He was preceded in death by his son; David Michael Watson, Jr. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
