Funeral services for Darlene Copeland Vaughn, 52, of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, July 22, 2011, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Blackmon Cemetery. Rev. Michael Carnes will officiate. Mrs. Vaughn died Wednesday, July 20, in Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of Beverly Watts Copeland and the late Carlton Eugene Copeland. She currently was a newspaper carrier for the Charlotte Observer and a Avon Representative. She also held at Real Estate License and enjoyed camping. Mrs. Vaughn’s pets held a special place in her heart and she was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband; Robert Marion “Bobby” Vaughn, Jr. of Lancaster, a son Max Vaughn (Jennifer) of Kaneoha, Hawaii, 2 grandchildren; Peyton and Haley Vaughn, sister-in-law; Susan Cherie of Ashville, N.C., niece; Tabitha Carnes (Michael) of Pageland, nephew; John Lee Copeland, Jr. (Kristi) of Jefferson, great nieces; Chloe Carnes, Elizabeth Oliver, great nephews; Kaleb Carnes and Landon Oliver. The family will receive friends, Thursday, July 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at the home, 3416 Crown Road, Lancaster, S.C.
