Danny Green

Danny Green, age 76 of Bethune, S.C. passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, at MUSC Health-Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Born in Westville, S.C., he was a son of the late Andrew Green and Edna Faulkenberry Green. He was a retired supervisor from Archer Daniels Midland Company. He learned the importance of hard work and instilled that in others. He loved to hunt, fish, build guns and work on old cars. He was a practical joker, always making people laugh and smile. Mr. Green served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. He was married to the late Betty Sue Loden Green. 

He is survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda Twitty and her husband, Scott and Kim Williams; 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Austin, Jeremy, Jonathon, Alyssa and Caitlin; 3 great-grandchildren, Bradley, Lilly and Beau; his siblings, J.W. Green, Kathy Knight, Ellen Fredrickson, Lynn Roberts, Mike Green and Grover Green. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Ernest, Jack, Paul, Doug and Frances Green.

The family will greet friends, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Baptist Church. 

The funeral service will be following the visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
