Coleman Lee Deas, Sr., 57, of Camden, S.C. passed away at MUSC Kershaw Health, Camden, on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was the son of the late James Lewis Deas, Sr. and Bessie Mae Ivey Deas. Mr. Deas was employed in the logging business. He loved to fish, take long walks and spend time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is a daughter, Lynn McIntyre (Jonathan); 2 sons, Coleman Lee Deas, Jr. (Tiffany) and C.J. Deas (Cindy Hornsby); 2 grandchildren, Natalie and Nathan McIntyre; 5 sisters, Eliza Stevens, Bobbie Jean Simmons, Betty Starnes, Donna Price, and Maxine Deas; 3brothers, Joseph Carl Deas, William “Pete” Deas, and Ralph “Buck” Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margie Stevens and Marcella Deas: a brother, Lewis Deas and a niece, Ashley Eason.
The family will hold a memorial service Friday, December 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Humphries officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
