Clarence Levy Vincent, 82, of the Charlesboro community, Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday morning, June 4, 2022, at Continuecare Hospital at Palmetto Health Baptist, Columbia, S.C. Born in Kershaw, S.C., March 21, 1940, he was a son of the late Leonard Vincent and Pet Catoe Vincent. He was formerly employed with Skyline Ltd. Mr. Vincent enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church and a deacon. Mr. Vincent cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also served honorably in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Taylor Vincent; his daughter, Sherry (Greg) Melvin; 2 grandchildren, Austin Melvin and Alyssa Melvin and a brother, Bruce Vincent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Catherine Davis, Eva Vincent and Harriett Walker and 6 brothers, Curtis Vincent, David Vincent, Frank Vincent, John Vincent, L.J. Vincent and Robert Vincent.
The family will greet friends, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Charlesboro Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted following the visitation, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Revs. Charles McAteer and Todd Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blackmon Cemetery.
