Services for Christopher Coleman “Chris” Scott. 43, of Monroe and formerly of the Buffalo Community, Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2012, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. James Way will officiate. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Scott died Thursday, April 19. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Donnie Lynn Scott and Kathy Williams Corder. He was a former employee of Praxair. Chris also enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and golfing. He was a graduate of North Central High School. Surviving are his son, Jared Scott of Indian Trail, N.C.; brother, Timothy Scott , step-mother, Mary Jo Scott both of Kershaw; 2 step-brothers, Michael McClain of Kershaw, Jimmy McClain of Elgin and step-sisters, Angie Jordan of Pageland and Julie Ann Corder of Lancaster. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
