Memorial services for Charles Roberts, 69, of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. A committal service will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Heath Springs. Rev. Gary Roberts and Chaplin Ronnie Owens will officiate. Mr. Roberts died Saturday, September 29, at Agape Rehabilitation, Rock Hill. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late C.N. and Nannie Dorman Roberts. He was the owner/operator of C& M Auto Sales in Heath Springs. Mr. Roberts enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN, cooking and spending time with his family. He was a member of Heath Springs Second Baptist Church and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Surviving are three daughters; Diana King, King George, VA, Linda R. Myers (Steve), Lancaster, Tina R. Davis (John), Kershaw, four sons; Charles J. Roberts, Jr. and his companion, Beth Funderburk of Great Falls, Billy M. Roberts (Kim) of Kershaw, Phillip J. Roberts (Kelly), Charlotte, N.C., Russell J. Roberts, Kershaw, 25 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters; Betty R. Hunter, Kershaw, Beverly R. Wilson, Lancaster, two brothers; Rev. Gary M. Roberts, Heath Springs, Rev. Bob Roberts, Lancaster and Mr. Roberts’s special friend; Patricia Morrison. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren and two brothers; Stoney N. Roberts and Steve E. Roberts. The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 30, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 509 West Stevens Drive, Kershaw. Memorial contributions may be made to Heath Springs Second Baptist Church,4837 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Heath Springs, S.C. 29058 or the charity of one’s choice.
