Charles E. Huggins, Sr.

Graveside services for Charles Everett Huggins, Sr., 59, of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at St. Matthew United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bishopville, SC, directed by Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Floyd Pigg will officiate. Mr. Huggins died Saturday, March 2, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Fred M., Sr. and Alice Stevens Huggins. He retired from Springs Industries as a Lab Technician. He also loved to collect coins and watch and feed wild birds. Mr. Huggins was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Surviving are a son; Charles Everett Huggins, Jr. of Chesterfield, 2 grandchildren; a sister; Frances H. Adams, 3 brothers; Marion (Katie) Huggins, Edward (Bobbie) Huggins all of Kershaw and Fred M. (Vivian) Huggins, Jr. of Westville. He was preceded in death by a brother; Wayne Huggins of Cassatt. Mr. Huggins’s body will be carried to his home, 2893 Old Georgetown Road, West, Monday, March 4, at noon for visitation and viewing.
