Catherine May Ford Greene

Services for Catherine May Ford Greene, 78, formerly of Fort Myers FL., will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 18, 2010 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia. Rev. Dr. Chip Summers will officiate.

Mrs. Greene died Wednesday evening, January 13, 2010 at her home. Born in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Sarah Reese Ford. She was very involved in her children's lives, being a good mother and teacher. She taught Sunday School, played the organ, wrote poetry and enjoyed taking pictures. She also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and and was an avid animal lover. She was of Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband; Norman Greene of the home, a daughter; Cheryl Ann Manocchi-Greene of Kershaw, two sons; Thomas Emerson Greene and his wife Jackie of N. Fort Myers, FL., Timothy Norman Greene and his wife Irina of Alameda, CA, three grandchildren; Ashlee Kaye Manocchi, Courtney Shea Greene and Brock Thomas Greene all of N. Fort Myers, FL. and a great granddaughter; Jassalynn Marie Manocchi of N. Fort Myers, FL., a sister; Suzanne Cubberley of Kershaw and her special dog; Pogo.

The family will gather at Baker Funeral Home, Sunday, January 17, for a viewing and visitation from 3 to 4 P.M.
