Carrol 'Buzz' Reeves

Funeral services for Carrol Braxton Buzz Reeves, 58, will be held at 3:00 pm., Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and John Rogers will officiate.

Buzz left the earth Monday, May 23, for his heavenly home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Dessie Faulkenberry Reeves and the late Carl Braxton C.B. Reeves. He was a devoted husband, father and son. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections as a Human Resources Manager. He was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Heath Springs Lions Club, Christian Cruisers Car Club and held a Masters Degree from Clemson University.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Heath Springs are his wife; Lynn R. Reeves of the home, 2 sons; Carlton J. Reeves and his wife Jennifer of Heath Springs and Craig B. Reeves and his friend, Alison Crease of Charleston, and a sister; Sheryl R. Horton and her husband Charles of Kingwood, TX, nephew; Andy Horton and his wife Nicole of Los Angeles, CA., sister-in-law; Shirley, brother-in-law Vic and a niece; Courtney of Stuart, VA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Deannie and Joe Reeves of Kershaw. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, whom he now is joyfully reunited.

The family would like to thank the many friends he had, always offering encouragement and friendship during his illness.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. at Baker Funeral Home.
